Pastor’s Hour of Power Daily Meditation
“The Cooperative Dance of Grace, Mercy, and Spiritual Authority”
Greetings, beloved in Christ! As we step into this new week, let's take a moment to meditate on the beautiful relationship between Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and us, His beloved believers.
As we adjust our clocks for Daylight Saving Time, let’s reflect on the grace and mercy of God, which gives us a unique perspective on time itself. Just as we "spring forward" and "fall back," God invites us to consider how He turns back the sin clock in our lives. In His love, He grants us extra time to align our hearts and lives with His will—time to repent, to grow, and to embrace the fullness of our identity in Him.
Scripture Reading:"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things, there is no law." – Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)
In this divine dance, we are called to learn the rhythm of the Holy Spirit as He guides us in our daily lives. Just as dancers must be attuned to each other’s movements, we, too, must be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Each day presents us with an opportunity to trust the process of our spiritual journey, knowing that He equips us with everything we need to overcome the darkness of sin.
Spiritual Authority:We have been granted spiritual authority, as seen in Genesis 1:26, where it says, “Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.’” (NIV).
In Luke 10:19, Jesus reassures us of this authority: “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” (NIV).
This week, I encourage you to rise up in your God-given authority. Speak life into your circumstances, declare victory over the enemy, and walk confidently in the grace that God provides. Remember, beloved, that our cooperation with the Holy Spirit is critical. As we yield to His leading, we will find the strength and guidance we need to navigate the challenges before us.Now let us come together this morning before the throne of God in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit who guides us every day. Help us to trust the process of our spiritual journey and to embrace the extra time You have graciously provided for us to grow closer to You. May we learn to follow the lead of the Holy Spirit, exercising our authority over the enemy. Empower us to walk in victory, reflecting Your love and grace to those around us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
I invite you to join us this Sunday for our Sunrise Worship Service at New Light Family Christian Center, located at 4100 W. McNichols. Let’s come together to celebrate the goodness of God and the power of His grace!
In Christ's love,  Rev. Dr. Eural Alexander  Senior PastorNLFCC
